Sean Bean and Andrew Garfield star in this first episode of a trilogy based on a series of novels by English author David Peace. The Red Riding Quartet was split into three episodes, 1974, 1980, and 1983, which aired on BBC's Channel 4 in March 2009. The trilogy was subsequently released State-side in February in limited release. Part I, 1974, documents a young, brash reporter investigating the disappearance of three young girls, uncovering corruption with a local businessman (Sean Bean) and town officials.

Nicholas Sparks has a winning formula, and The Last Song follows it to a T. Developed to give Miley Cyrus a change in her career, the coming of age romance drama stars Cyrus as a rebellious teen who spends the summer reconnecting with her estranged father (Greg Kinnear), and soon falls in love with a local boy (Liam Hemsworth). While critics panned the movie as too formulaic, they praised Kinnear's performance.

Based on a novel by Peter Cameron, the film follows an American grad student who travels to Uruguay seeking permission to write the biography of an obscure writer who passed away a few years prior. Heirs to the writer are unwilling to grant him the right. Critics praise the performances, but warn about the scattered, sometimes disconnected plot.

Brendan Fraser and Brooke Shields star in this rather thin vehicle about a real-estate agent (Fraser) who is tasked to turn a forest into new development, much to the chagrin of his son (Matt Prokop) and wife (Shields). In true form, their home is soon attacked by the forest animals seeking revenge. Universally panned by critics and the end result is just as you'd expect.
