In a world wrapped up in pure materialism, we meet the Joneses, a seemingly perfect family who has everything you ever wanted: beautiful kids, a large house, and all the latest in fashion, cars, and tech. The Joneses are certainly the talk of the town, but their perfect life is nothing more than a fa├žade. The family, after all, is employees of a marketing agency, hired to make their neighbors crave the latest fads. Andrea Chase, of Killer Movie Reviews writes, "THE JONESES is a film that is more interesting than compelling. It's as slick as the sales philosophy of its characters tempered with a palpable anger at what Madison Avenue hath wrought."

Two of NBC's hottest comedians, Steve Carrell and Tina Fey, star as a married couple looking to jazz up their mundane suburban life by hitting the city's trendiest restaurant. They steal a reservation, and, in a case of mistaken identity, the two find themselves taking on corrupt cops, crazed cabbies, and mobsters. Brian Orndorf of FilmJerk.com writes, "'Date Night' is nimble and, aside from a few bits of labored conversation, builds a relatable core relationship between Phil and Claire, which gives Carell and Fey a chance to connect as actors while they fool around and improv up a storm . . . at the very least, it's a consistently engaging, warmly silly adventure."

Remade from a 2008 British comedy of the same name, Death at a Funeral, is an ensemble comedy starring Chris Rock, Martin Lawrence, Luke Wilson, and Tracy Morgan. As a family mourns the death of their father, crazy revelations, threats, and blackmail soon follow. Peter Dinklage, who starred in the original film, also appears reprising his character. The film received mixed reviews, and while it has its fair share of off-color jokes, for Roger Ebert, “That's when I laughed the most.” So much so, that he named it “the best comedy since ‘The Hangover’.”
